It’s time for our annual Draper Days Outreach, July 19th & 20th! Draper Days is an amazing week-long festival in Draper, and an important annual event in the life of the Adventure. We’ve been known as “the church that hands out water at Draper Days” for more than 15 years! It’s in our most desperate moments where we want to give up on life that God comes to our rescue. He takes us out of the pit of despair and rebuilds us into a new masterpiece; his masterpiece. It can be hard to understand how God could use such a broken person for his kingdom, but God shows us over and over again that we don’t have to be perfect, we just have to be willing. He wants us to go show others how he has changed us. So my dear friends let God transform you, give him your guilt and shame. Let him change your life into something amazing, where when people see you, they can’t deny the love of God in you and the miracle God has done in you. “He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ There are so many distractions and worldly standards that want our attention and hearts every day. The world wants to change our attitudes, hearts and minds. We conform to the world when we start looking in the wrong places for acceptance and satisfaction and when we fear what’s out of our control. The good news is that we don’t have to allow any of that to lead our decisions because we are already accepted by the Creator of the universe and He is in control and desires for us to be fully satisfied in His unfailing love! He wants to transform us by the renewal of our minds so that we can know His will and desire for our lives. How are our minds renewed you might ask? What do I have to do for God to renew my mind? He renews our minds just by having a relationship with Him! By being in his presence and knowing who he is and who he says you are! We don’t have to prove anything because he already loves us completely! Failures and all! He loves us and wants to be glorified through us and wants us to be blown away by his faithfulness! Thank you for your vulnerability and passion to help others find freedom in Christ! “Many years ago I was in a bad place mentally, spiritually, and emotionally, and fell to the temptation of pornography. I became addicted, but through a lot of tears, prayer, accountability, and the grace of Jesus Christ, I was set free! Over the years, I’ve been involved in counseling men and helping them find the freedom in Christ that I have received. A couple years ago, I came across Conquer Series, which is by far the best program to help men walk out of this addiction! It is a course that not only teaches you the spiritual aspects of the addiction, but also the mental, emotional, and physical consequences of it. It is a non-judgmental setting with safety and discretion! Our Connect team, led by Tiffany Velez, helps new people feel welcomed and loved at Adventure Church. They give our special guests tours of church, escort them to kid’s classes and introduce them to people along the way so they really feel like family. This Sunday, we celebrated our graduates, one of which was Pastor Kelly!
